Jack the Artist

Jack painted this purple bowl at school as a Mother's Day gift for me. They had a local pottery store glaze and fire them. It was a surprise to me. I love it!

Field Trip to the St. Louis Zoo!

Mommy and Jack on the way to the zoo!
Jack LOVES the bus ride!!
Jack and friends waiting to go into the zoo.
Jack at the Dino exhibit. Look how soaked he is from the rain!
Jack, Logan, and Sam with a couple of frogs at the Children's Zoo.
Jack taking a spin on the carousel.
One of Jack's favorite things at the zoo...the train ride!

Today Jack's preschool class went on a field trip to the St. Louis Zoo. I went with him so we could have some time together - just Jack and Mommy. We had so much fun! Jack was well behaved and only had one meltdown at the Children's Zoo area sliding down the slide...he didn't want to stop! :) Couldn't blame him really, but we had to move on! We took 2 train rides and 2 spins on the Carousel. He loved watching the penguins, it was feeding time and the penguins were all out, swimming, and splashing. Jack loved the bus ride to and from the zoo. He was so excited!

Unfortunately it was very cold and rainy while we were there (58 degrees). Not exactly a "zoo day" by my standards. We were soaked from head to toe! But that didn't stop us from having fun! Luckily it stopped after a few hours and we dried out a bit.

Happy (8 month) Birthday Natalie!

Too bad Jack's hat is covering his eyes...you can hardly see his cute face! :)

Natalie is 8 months old today! She's ready for summer in her cool shades and ladybug outfit!

It was a beautiful day yesterday, so we spent the afternoon outside playing! Jack LOVES his swing set...he could spend all day climbing the rock wall and sliding down the slide.

Update on Jack

Well, on April 24th Jack had his surgery to put tubes in his ears. He did great. I was so proud of him. It was a quick procedure, it really was only 7 minutes long! They gave him gas to put him out during the procedure. He woke up upset and cried until we were on the highway back home. He laid down on the couch at home for about a half hour then bounced up and ran around all afternoon like nothing had happened.

On Friday, May 2nd we went back to the ENT doctor and he said everything looked good and the tubes were doing their job. The ear infection was all gone!! Yea! We go back in August for a checkup.
